If you have to do it, you might as well do it in style. Â Inspired by a great photo from Lindsay Anderson & Jennifer Glen.

I didn’t feel satisfied with yesterday’s sketch — and if any subject deserves a repeat visit, it’s this kind and insightful man. Â This simplified charcoal sketch is based on a photo of him on one of his many Alpine hikes. Â I will long remember the times we got to spend with him there.

Got sad news today of the loss of a fine man and great example to many.

This was done in honor of the USC/UCLA game I spent forever trying (and failing) to find on TV tonight. Â Should’ve snatched up my cousin’s extra ticket when I had the chance. Â Oh well. Â At least we won!

Did I mention that I need to go to bed earlier? Â This is about how I felt while doing tonight’s super-quick sketch before bed.

This was me after getting home from work today. Â I woke up a while later, and did this quick sketch while I still had a sliver of energy. Â I need to start going to bed earlier.

Just recently bought a very cool compendium Randolph Caldecott’s picture books.  It’s full of amazing illustrations, one of which I have shabbily counterfeited here.

A couple months ago, I was in Austria along with several good friends. Here are three of them, as photographed there by a fourth, the great Sarah Welch.  The likenesses are kinda iffy, but hey, it’s “Sketch 365,” not “Perfect Reproduction 365.”  Oh, and if the one in the center looks familiar…

It’s been a long time since I last played Pictionary.  So this evening, I decided to grab a card and see if I could draw all five things on it in one sketch.  So, for your viewing pleasure, here’s a 1) Ragged 2) Lawyer 3) Choking on a 4) Pop Tart while on a 5) Maiden Voyage.
