#82 – Fresh from the Matrix
#81 – Gas girl
#80 – Not-so-alarming clock
You used to be cool, Clock. Â You used to, you know, work. Â But now, it’s like you’re stuck in the past, man. Â Like it’s 3:23 p.m. all over again.
What’s that you say? Â Dead battery? Â Lame, bro. Â The clock I remember wouldn’t let a little thing like “a lack of any kind of functional power source” get in the way of our relationship.
Oh, who am I kidding? Â I can’t stay mad at you, lil’ buddy! Â New battery comin’ right up!

#79 – Hey, Carrots!
#78 – Starsky & Hutch
Went down south to spend some three-day-weekend time with extended family — and (by further extension) their two labradors, Starsky & Hutch. Â This is the first time I’ve ever sat and drawn any animals from observation.
I figured sleeping dogs would stay still long enough to draw, but that wasn’t really the case (hence the various different angles). Â Actually, come to think of it, most models you’d have to pay to have them generate this many poses for you…

#77 – Killing, or dying?
#74 – Drinkin’ with the Oldies
I don’t use pen enough — so I figured I’d do a quick pen drawing. This is really loose and sketchy — in fact, I need to hold back from trying to refine pen lines so much. Anyway, this is based on an old photo of my wife’s grandmother stepping out with friends some time in the 40s.

#72 – Exceptional merchandise at greatly reduced prices!
From the 1908 Sears, Roebuck & Co. catalog — a fascinating book, an old reprint of which we found at a weird little bookstore a couple years ago.
Illustrated here are just four of literally tens of thousands of items shown inside. Â The full catalog features countless more things you can hurt yourself with.
