#46 – “The moon belongs to America…”

Actually, this is just another little thing I’m working on for JPL. I was just trying to get the positioning figured out for a little web graphic.  This wasn’t designed as a sketch for this project, but I’m busy, so it’ll do!

#44 – Stinking badges

Badges prototypeStarted sketching some ideas for some badge icons for a NASA/JPL website.  These refer to very specific nerd things, so I won’t be offended if you don’t get them.  They’ll make marginally more sense when all 66(!) are finished.

#42 – Copout closeout

D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X YThird day in a row of lacking sketch energy.  So I reverted to simple letterforms, but decided to do all the remaining letters, so I won’t be tempted to use this lazy idea again.  As it turned out, this took longer than expected due to having to sort out all the different shading values.  That’s what I get for trying to take the easy route…

#39 – Sketch, interrupted

GeologistA very long and busy day on this Carlsbad field trip.  Thought I would have a second to sketch during a lunch break by a waterfall.  So I set about drawing this geologist resting by the falls, and this is as far as it got before I was interrupted two or three minutes later to be on to the next thing.  Nice change of scenery from the office though, I’ll admit.  Now to much-needed bed.
