#64 – Vintage sword/steering wheel/trampoline
#62 – A Link to the Past
#61 – Helter Sketcher
This was a fun set, if a little messy.  I did all of these as one-inch squares, which — surprise, surprise — turns out to be kind of limiting. It’s a bit tricky fitting 70 or so people onto a one-inch Sgt. Pepper’s cover.
I also used a prisma pencil, which means I couldn’t erase anything. Â So of course there are several things I wish I could change. Â But hey, it’s only sketching.

#60 – We Bring Odd Things to Life.
A great thrift store find from several years back. This fan-driven wonder emits an unholy honk with every key (after a split-second delay, of course). Or if you listen to the manufacturers:
“Everyone wants a turn when you have a GE Electric Chord Organ in the house! Color-coded music book comes with it. It’ll have you playing chords and melodies in no time at all! Pleasant start to a musical education…for everyone!”

#59 – A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
#58 – Ladies’ choice
This is one of my wife’s skates that she occasionally teaches history in. Yep.
I went with it since I haven’t got much mileage out of my red Copic markers yet. Must find more objects that are Salmon Red, Lipstick Orange, and Cadmium Red. If you think of any, be sure to let me know.

#57 – Test pilot
This is an initial test for some more aviation sketches I may do for a brochure. Â This was based on a photo, but I don’t think it works too well: the angle is too extreme. Â Oh yeah, and the plane doesn’t fit on the page. Â Another minor point I may want to consider.

#56 – Happy Mothers’ Day
In a shocking upset to all conventional societal expectations, it turns out my mother-in-law is great. Â Had a great day with her and the rest of the family. Â Hope your Mothers’ Day was good too.
This is the first Sketch 365 piece that I’ve created based on a photo. Â It feels a bit like cheating. Â But the models sure stay still longer.
